The accident at Sayano–Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station is the largest one over the history of domestic hydraulic power industry, it caused a death toll of 75. Employees of IDGC Holding, JSC, of all its operating companies and branches in 69 constituent entities of the Russian Federation were not left untouched by this accident; they feel happened tragedy deeply and consider it their duty to support the families of dead and sufferers by monetary funds. In the shortest possible time in IDGC Holding, JSC there was organized a collection that was accumulated on the specially formed current account of the Regional Support Fund for Social Protection of Power Engineers.
Specialized Commission of IDGC Holding, JSC in accordance with the decision of the Coordination Council for rendering of assistance to families of dead and sufferers from the accident at Sayano–Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station named after P.S. Neporozhny dated April 28, 2010 and on the proposal of “RusHydro”, JSC approved by the Government of the Republic of Khakassia took the decision on transfer of collected sums for financing of target long-term program of health resort treatment, rest and health improvement of sufferers and members of the families of dead in the accident at Sayano–Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station. Monetary funds will be transferred to the insurance company “Rosgosstrakh” LLC by the Regional Support Fund for Social Protection of Power Engineers for the recovery of expenditures on health improvement of sufferers and members of the families of dead in the accident at Sayano–Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station.
